ROE Records of Employment Canada What to do when Lay Off is Cancelled

ROE Records of Employment Canada What to do when Lay Off is Cancelled

There are situations in the construction trade that may seem like there won’t be work for your employees - usually this is a result of customers not responding to bid deadlines and you as an employer issue ROE / Record of Employment to your crew then the next day or hour the signed contract or Purchase Order comes over and work is back on.

If you have already created and issued the ROE there is another step you must do. YOU the employer must go on the Service Canada Website within 90 Days of issuing that ROE and cancel it. If you don’t and when you issue the next ROE for the employee(s) you will have to amend the original ROE which for just One (1) ROE could take up to 1 hour of your very valuable time.
